SPRINGKELL HOUSE JANUARY 2015 NEWS
December was full of festive fun for all the residents and at Springkell. Saturday 6th saw the annual Christmas Party, which was thoroughly enjoyed by all and had all the residents smiling and laughing throughout a fun-packed day. This was followed by another day of festivities on Thursday 18th December, with Sherry, mince pies and Christmas Carols around the tree really getting everyone in the festive mood. We also had a visit from a firm favourite with the residents – Cheddar the pony, who came dressed in his Christmas attire to add a bit of equine sparkle to Springkell for a few hours. Cheddar is incredibly popular with the residents and will be making many more visits to us throughout the year!
With the New Year well upon us now, it is time to look forward to the coming year and what it has in store for us at Springkell. We are wasting no time before our first event of 2015, a coffee morning in aid of Help for Heroes on 30th January, at which we are hoping to be joined by members of the British Legion. Coffee and a wide selection of cakes will be available from 10am onwards, and we would love to see as many people there as possible for a great morning in aid of such a good cause. We look forward to hosting similar events throughout the year, to encourage residents and members of the community alike to help support such great causes.
